Out of the terminal, a two-minute walk, and you are standing on the sand of Store Bay. Food stalls sell crab and dumpling. Out in the bay sit the glass-bottom boats that run to Buccoo Reef. Crown Point is where most visitors to Tobago sleep, eat and go out.

A.N.R. Robinson International Airport opened in December 1940, and the place grew up around it. Rough Guides calls Crown Point the area with the highest density of hotels and the most restaurants and clubs on the island. Wikivoyage, more plainly, calls it a typical tourist zone. Not many people live here. The 2011 census counted 554 in the Crown Point community and 881 in neighbouring Milford Court/Pigeon Point.
Two beaches lie right by the village. Store Bay is free, Pigeon Point charges admission, according to Rough Guides. Sources differ on the distance between them: Rough Guides puts Pigeon Point about ten minutes further on, Wikivoyage calls it a 20-minute stroll. And the oil spill of early February 2024? It hit the south coast further east. Store Bay and Pigeon Point were not affected, the tourism agency said in March 2024.
