Lonely Planet sees it differently: lots of stones, lots of seagrass, swimming not great. In 2018 discovertnt listed changing rooms, a bar with food, cabanas and guest rooms, open from 9am to 5pm. Mosquitoes come out in the evening.
In early February 2024 the barge Gulfstream capsized off this coast. The tourism agency places the wreck about 200 metres off Cove, the oil spill body ITOPF about 150 metres off Canoe Bay. The bay was on the list of affected beaches. Check before you go whether the beach has reopened and whether the bar and cabanas are running again.
