RESULTS

THA Pan Champs show: 7:30 pm - Tuesday, 21st February 2006 - Shaw Park, Tobago.

The THA show comprised all the Tobago steelbands which participated in the TT National Panorama 2006 competitions (still ongoing at the time of this show); apart from the conventional bmobile Our Boys, which did not appear.

Sadly for Tobago this year, none of their bands progressed further than the Semi-Finals of any Panorama 2006 event; so this was the last opportunity to hear these bands in full compliment, before disbandment by members for next years carnival season. Some will no doubt remain, though in lesser size, to complete the 2006 'On de Road' carnival events; and other of the years upcoming competitions.

It appears that bmobile Our Boys succumbed prior to the show; a pity, as their arranger Clifford Alexis is new to the TT Panorama stage, a local, however with much experience gained as one of the resident arrangers for the Northern Illinois University Steel Band in the USA; the alma mata of Liam Teague (See TCL Group Skiffle Bunch). Alexis can provide a challenge in style of musical arrangement that the band members should embrace more squarely.

There was a side competition for the Best Flag-Waver and Best Dressed steelband.
Both were won by RBTT Redemption Soundsetters.
Redemption Soundsetters flag waver was Ms Gemma Roberts Schneider.
